7:00 AM | *More settled weather today as upper-level low pushes away from the NE US coastline* — Perspecta Weather

6-Day forecast for the New York City metro region

Partly sunny, quite warm, maybe a shower or thunderstorm, highs in the upper 80’s

Mainly clear, mild, lows in the lower 70’s

Mainly sunny, hot, chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, lower 90’s for afternoon highs

Friday Night

Chance of evening showers and thunderstorms then becoming partly cloudy, mild, upper 60’s for late night lows

Partly sunny, warm, mid 80’s

Mainly sunny, very warm, near 90 degrees

Mainly sunny, very warm, chance of showers and thunderstorms, upper 80’s

Mainly sunny, very warm, chance of showers and thunderstorms, upper 80’s

Low pressure in the upper part of the atmosphere is shifting off the coast of the Northeast US today and this should result in a much reduced chance of rain today in the NYC metro region. There will be some sun today and afternoon temperatures should peak in the upper 80’s. It’ll get hotter on Friday with temperatures likely to climb to the lower 90’s and there can be some afternoon/evening shower and thunderstorm activity as a cool front approaches the area. The weekend looks pretty decent and the frontal passage should knock a few degrees off of Friday’s temperatures and there should be some sunshine on both days.
