Mixed Sentiment In World Markets

Market mood remained mixed across asset classes and regions as markets digested latest economic data as well as corporate earnings updates. Lingering geopolitical tensions and prospects of further stimulus measures from China also weighed on sentiment.

The Reserve Bank of Australia maintained status quo on rates, in the decision announced on Tuesday. Also, data showed factory orders in Germany unexpectedly climbing by 8.9 percent on a monthly basis in December. Retail Sales in the Euro Area, on the contrary decreased 1.1 percent in December.

Wall Street Futures point towards a negative bias. Major European benchmarks are trading mostly above the flatline. Asian stocks finished trading on a mixed note.

The Dollar Index traded close to the flatline. Bond yields are directionless. Crude oil prices edged lower. Gold prices recorded marginal losses. Cryptocurrencies are moving in a mixed fashion.
